TRIP DESCRIPTION:            

Located in Middle Atlas in the Azilal Province and 150 km northeast of Marrakech, Ouzoud Waterfalls is the most popular tourism destination in the region. It is the collective name for several waterfalls and contains one of the biggest falls of North Africa with 110 meters height. During a full day trip to Ouzoud, a local guide will take you hike around the waterfalls and explore the natural luxuries of this magnificent place. The three-tiered falls provide a magnificent backdrop for hiking and picnicking as they are surrounded by lush greenery and trees teeming with macaque monkeys. Clamber down the stone steps into the gorge and you can swim beneath the falls, take a raft ride across the river, and explore the natural caves carved into the Cliffside. This full-day tour from Marrakech includes stops along the way to admire the mountain scenery and lunch at a traditional Berber restaurant.

ITINERARY:                          

This tour will take you east out of Marrakech to begin the journey to the Waterfalls. Getting out of the bustling city and relaxing in the natural spectacle of this place will be the first real sense of pleasure you will get on this excursion.

During the 3 hours on the road, you will visit areas where few tourists manage to reach but include a Traditional Moroccan Culture and magnificent panoramic natural scenes including the Biggest Waterfall in North Africa.

Once you arrive to Ouzoud, a local guide will take you in a tour around the waterfalls. Be well equipped for a hiking tour that will take you from up the waterfall to the last smaller waterfall where traditional restaurants and cafes, bazaars that expose the traditional colorful crafts from Berber carpets to wood products, that makes this place so touristic and joyful.

During the tour, take your time to enjoy a Moroccan tea and Tajine on a terrace over one of the waterfalls and you can share the joy of swimming with locals by jumping in water from one of the waterfalls to cool up yourself.

This full day to Ouzoud will let you take some of the countryside charm with you and a close look to the traditional life and traditions of the Berber People of this region.
