TRIP DESCRIPTION:            

Welcome to the Blue Pearl City, Chefchaouen, also known as Chaouen, one of Morocco’s most photogenic destinations. It is a city located in the Rif Mountains of Northwest Morocco. Its old town is very famous for its remarkable blue-painted houses. Chefchaouen dates back to the 15^th century as a small Qasbah to fight the Portuguese invasions. Join us to unravel the mystery on what made the inhabitants paint the old city of Chefchaouen mostly blue and take hundreds of Instagram-worthy photos.

ITINERARY:                          

Your driver will pick you up early in the morning from your hotel or riad in Fes and head straight to Chefchaouen on an air-conditioned vehicle. On the way to Chaouen – as it is often called by Moroccans, you will pass through the attractive Dam Achahad and the Rif Mountains. You will have a quick stop to enjoy the landscapes, cool air and capture incredible photos.

On the first half of the trip, enjoy the cool and charming moments in this city that has preserved the Arab-Andalusia traditions and arts. This tour will be a chance for visitors to immerse with the lifestyle of locals, which is very different from the frantic pace of the big cities of Morocco.

Take a moment to enjoy a traditional Moroccan meal and a cup of tea before you continue this trip in the old streets of the medina. (at your own expense)

During the second half of the trip, follow your professional guide to discover the city and soak up the history of the region by visiting the Square Outa Lahmam, the 15^th Century Mosque and the Kasbah Museum. Also, this trip gives you a chance to visit the famous Source de Ras El-Maa.

You may relax, enjoy the fresh air, marvel at the natural landscapes, watch local people, stroll on close-by green hillsides and wander around the souks for the rest of the afternoon.

As soon as the day takes off, we will return to Fes and drop you off at your hotel or the nearest car accessible point to your riad.
